Cameron graduated from Monmouth University with a B.S. in Marine and Environmental Biology and Policy in 2017. He did his undergraduate honors research on carbon sequestration and the spatial distribution of Bahamian red mangroves, Rhizophora mangle, under Dr. Pedram Daneshgar. He has six years of experience operating a marine aquaculture facility focused on the growth and fragmentation of non-native corals to provide to aquarium hobbyists, in an effort to reduce the strain of collection on natural populations. Cam has since joined the Coral Reef Futures Lab and is now managing the coral systems at the Rosenstiel School of Marine and Atmospheric Science (RSMAS) Experimental Hatchery. He hopes to assist the successful ex-situ spawning of various Floridian corals in an effort to support research on larval coral development and symbiont studies.
